The four things
1. A photo of the opening
A clear photo from outside and, if you can, from inside.
Stand back far enough to show the whole opening with the wall around it, the ceiling and the floor. Take one straight-on photo and one from an angle. Photograph anything inside that could affect installation, such as cables, pipes, columns or a staircase nearby. Good light answers many questions before they are asked.
2. The approximate size
Width × height. Do not worry about precision; we measure when needed.
3. Your city and district
So we can find the nearest installation team and agency. Our base is in Riyadh, with agencies in Khamis Mushait, Abha, Jazan, Najran, Al-Ahsa, Arar and Al-Qassim.
4. The type you have in mind
If you are not sure, write how the door will be used (home, shop, warehouse) and we will suggest the right one. How to measure the opening properly
A general method that works for most doors:
- Use a metal tape, not string or a tailor's tape.
- Measure the width at three points: top, middle and bottom of the opening, and note the smallest figure.
- Measure the height from the finished floor to the top of the opening, at the left, centre and right.
- Measure the headroom, from the top of the opening to the ceiling or the first obstruction, because it often decides which type is possible.
- Measure the side room to the left and right, and the backroom inside if the door will travel under the ceiling.
- If the floor, finishes or paint are not complete, say so, since the real height will change.
Details that speed up the reply
Once you have the four items, a few extras help:
- Is it a new door or a replacement, and why are you replacing it?
- Is there a power source near where the motor will sit?
- Do you have a colour preference, or special needs such as insulation, quietness or security?
- Is the site inside a facility with its own access or security rules?
- When would suit you for a site visit or installation?
How to compare quotes
Price alone can mislead. When comparing quotes from any supplier, make sure they match on:
